70 Million Children...

Did you know that 70 million children don’t get proper education? Living without literacy abilities increases the number of people living in poverty around the world. However, corporations like Room to Read is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that supports this issue. Educating children and improving their lifestyle in the future is their goal. Room to Read was founded by John Wood in the year 1999, after returning from a visit at a local school in Nepal. He was astonished with the welcoming people at the school however he was shocked to discover the absence of many resources. John Wood became an advocate for the rights of children to be educated. He decided to quit his job as a Senior Executive at Microsoft to run his own organization. Since 2001, Erin Ganju has been the co-founder of Room to Read. It helps children within different genders to have the education that is essential for their future and their everyday life. Millions of children in the world lack education. Room to Read is a recent organization that supports the education challenges in different parts of the world. There will be more chances for everybody to live equally and have a higher quality of life if this issue will decrease.
